Dear Shooters:
Attached is the match report for the BORCC September 2009 IDPA Match. I apologize for the delay in crunching the numbers for the match. I was out of town over the Labor Day Weekend and did not even get to attend the event. I was out of town the week of September 7th attending the Michigan Stage Police Governor’s Pistol Match. None of you would have like the match it was NRA Bullseye (one handed at 25 yards) with the 10 ring 2 ½ inches across.
At the BORCC match there were 32 registered shooters with four deranged individuals shooting a second firearm for a total of 36 competitors. The lowest time in ESP and lowest overall match time goes to Pete White. Congratulations Pete. Hot on his heals was Otis Lawrence in CDP and Carl Olson in SSP. Otis and Carl where the top shooters in their respective divisions. ER was headed up by Paul Haluda and in SR we have Randy Ciesiolka coming in with the best time. Honorable mention goes to Randy as his time in SR was 28 second below any shooter in ER placing him 17th overall for the event. A most commendable performance Randy.
I did not shoot the match but noticed there were 14 failures to neutralize incidents on Stage 1 and on Stage 4, 19 shooters had five seconds or more added to their time for dropped points (with about half of them adding 10 or more seconds). I have my own theory as to the causes, but like I said, I did not shoot the match.
We will have three more scheduled matches this year, shooting in Oct, Nov, and Dec. Unofficially we will probably shoot indoors in Jan & Feb. If we have a light winter, the March match will be held outdoors; don’t get your hopes up.
